Chocolate Cake - Recipe

Dark Chocolate Cake II by Mike Burt


INGREDIENTS-

  • 1 CUP POWDERED SUGAR
  • 4 LARGE EGGS
  • 1 CUP FLOUR
  • 1/2 CUP COCOA
  • 3/4 TEASPOON BAKING POWDER
  • A PINCH OF BAKING SODA
  • 3/4 CUP OIL
  • 1 TEASPOON VANILLA ESSENCE


[NOTE- FOR A PLAIN CAKE, REMOVE COCOA AND ADD 1/2 CUP CORNFLOWER INSTEAD.]

RECIPE-

  1. SIEVE FLOUR, COCOA, BAKING POWDER AND BAKING SODA TOGETHER.
  2. BEAT SUGAR AND EGGS VERY WELL TOGETHER.
  3. ADD ESSENCE
  4. ADD OIL GRADUALLY BEATING MIXTURE LIGHTLY. 
  5. FOLD IN FLOUR A LITTLE AT A TIME, WITH A WOODEN SPOON TILL ALL FLOUR IS MIXED UP.
  6. POUR INTO GREASED BAKING TIN AND BAKE IN A PREHEATED OVEN AT 180 DEGREE CELSIUS FOR 25 MINUTES.
  7. LET IT COOL FOR 5-10 MINUTES BEFORE REMOVING FROM THE TIN.
  8. SERVE IT
